We're looking for a reliable, hardworking and organised Gym Cleaner who takes pride in their work and enjoys keeping a busy gym clean, hygienic and looking its best. You'll play an important role in maintaining the professional, welcoming environment that our members know and value.
The hours we are looking to fill are:
- Monday to Friday: 8:30pm-9:30pm
Key Responsibilities
- Carry out thorough cleaning of gym floors, equipment, changing rooms, toilets, showers and communal areas.
- Clean and sanitise gym equipment regularly to maintain high standards of hygiene.
- Empty bins and dispose of waste appropriately.
- Keep changing rooms, toilets and other member areas clean, fresh and well presented.
- Clean mirrors, windows, floors and other surfaces throughout the gym.
- Check cleaning and hygiene standards regularly and address any areas that require attention.
- Restock cleaning, hygiene and bathroom supplies when required.
- Report any maintenance issues, damage, spillages or potential hazards to the management team.
- Ensure cleaning equipment and products are stored safely and correctly.
- Follow appropriate health, safety and cleaning procedures at all times.
- Work efficiently around members while being polite, professional and considerate.
- Help maintain the overall appearance and presentation of the gym.
- Work closely with the management team to ensure Challenge consistently provides a clean, safe and welcoming environment for members and staff.

- Physically capable of carrying out the duties required of a gym cleaning role.
- Willing to learn and follow Challenge's cleaning, health and safety procedures.
Desirable Skills & Experience
- Previous cleaning experience.
- Previous experience working in a gym, leisure centre, hospitality or similar environment.
- Knowledge of cleaning products, equipment and safe cleaning practices.
- An understanding of health and hygiene standards.
- An interest in health, fitness and creating a positive environment for others.
