Responsibilities
- Maintain cleanliness of all kitchen areas, including floors, work surfaces, utensils, and equipment to uphold health and safety standards
- Assist with basic food preparation tasks under supervision, such as washing vegetables or preparing ingredients for cooking
- Support chefs and kitchen staff by ensuring all dishes and cookware are properly sanitized and stored
- Clear and clean tables in dining areas after service to ensure a tidy environment for guests
- Dispose of waste responsibly and manage recycling procedures in accordance with safety guidelines
- Restock supplies and ingredients as needed to ensure smooth kitchen operations
- Follow health and safety regulations diligently to prevent accidents and maintain a hygienic workspace
Qualifications
- Previous experience in a restaurant, hotel, or hospitality environment is preferred but not required; enthusiasm to learn is key
- Basic knowledge of food preparation, cooking processes, and kitchen safety standards
