Forklift Driver / Yard Operative
£28,730 – £31,000
Monday–Friday + every other Saturday, 8:00am–5:00pm
We’re looking for an experienced Forklift Driver / Yard Operative to join a busy builders’ merchant in New Southgate.
This is a hands-on, predominantly outdoor role. You’ll be responsible for loading and unloading vehicles, moving stock around the yard and helping customers with collections.
The Role
- Load and unload HGVs and supplier vehicles
- Safely operate Counterbalance forklifts
- Move and organise stock around the yard
- Load customer collections
- Keep the yard safe, clean and organised
- Work as part of a busy yard team
What We’re Looking For
- Valid Counterbalance forklift licence
- Previous forklift experience
- Builders’ merchant, timber merchant or similar experience preferred
- Good awareness of health & safety
- Reliable and hardworking
- Good attitude and comfortable dealing with customers
