We are recruiting for an experienced Senior Electrical Estimator to join a leading M&E contractor based in E1.
This is a senior-level opportunity for an accomplished Electrical Estimator with a strong background in commercial, residential, fit-out and major M&E projects. You will play a key role within the pre-construction team, taking ownership of electrical tenders from initial enquiry through to final submission and handover.
The position offers the opportunity to work on a strong pipeline of technically challenging, high-value projects across London and the surrounding areas.
Key Responsibilities

Take full ownership of electrical tenders, from initial enquiry and tender review through to final submission.

Produce detailed and accurate estimates for electrical packages across major M&E projects.

Complete detailed take-offs from drawings, specifications and tender documentation.

Prepare labour, material, plant and subcontractor costings.

Obtain and analyse supplier and subcontractor quotations to ensure competitive and commercially viable submissions.

Identify potential risks, opportunities, value engineering options and cost savings throughout the tender process.

Work closely with the Estimating Manager, Commercial, Design and Operational teams during pre-construction.

Attend tender interviews, clarification meetings and client meetings where required.

Review design information and highlight discrepancies, omissions and potential commercial risks.

Produce detailed tender breakdowns, qualifications and exclusions.

Assist with the development of project programmes, preliminaries and procurement strategies.

Support the handover of successfully secured projects to the commercial and delivery teams.

Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, consultants, suppliers and subcontractors.
Requirements

Significant experience as an Electrical Estimator / Senior Electrical Estimator within the M&E building services sector.

Strong knowledge of electrical installations including LV distribution, containment, lighting, small power, fire alarms, data, security and associated systems.

Experience tendering large-scale commercial and major M&E projects.

Strong understanding of drawings, specifications and technical tender documentation.

Excellent commercial awareness and understanding of current labour and material costs.

Proven ability to manage multiple tenders and deadlines simultaneously.

Strong negotiation, communication and client-facing skills.

Experience with industry-standard estimating software and Microsoft Excel.

Electrical trade, engineering or building services background would be advantageous.
