- Optional Saturday overtime

Job Overview
We are looking for a reliable and motivated HGV Driver (Class 2) to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for safely transporting goods to various locations, ensuring timely deliveries, and maintaining excellent customer service. The ideal candidate will have experience in commercial driving, particularly with flatbed loads and delivery operations, and will enjoy working in a dynamic environment.
Duties
- Safely operate a Class 2 Heavy Goods Vehicle (HGV), including flatbed trucks, adhering to all road safety regulations.
- Plan delivery routes efficiently to meet schedules and optimize fuel usage.
- Load and unload goods carefully, ensuring items are secured properly during transit.
- Conduct routine vehicle inspections and report any maintenance issues promptly.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch teams and customers to coordinate deliveries and resolve any issues.
- Follow all health and safety procedures to maintain a safe working environment for yourself and others.
- Keep accurate records of deliveries, mileage, and vehicle logs as required.
Requirements
- Valid Category C (Class 2) HGV driving license with relevant experience in commercial driving.
- Prior experience as a delivery driver, preferably with flatbed loads or similar cargo types.
- Strong understanding of road safety laws and transportation regulations.
- Excellent driving skills with a clean driving record.
- Ability to handle physical tasks involved in loading/unloading goods.
- Good communication skills for interacting with team members and customers.
- A proactive attitude towards safety, punctuality, and customer service.
