As a Safety, Health & Environment Advisor supporting Race and Events, you'll work at the heart of Formula One's most dynamic environment, partnering with teams across the globe to ensure our people can perform at their best, wherever the championship takes us. From garage builds and freight operations to trackside activities and international events, you'll help shape a culture where safety enables success and excellence is the standard.
Purpose:
This role is unique and will be integral in ensuring we are adhering to Safety, Health and Environment compliance obligations, predominantly supporting offsite events, including but not limited to show car events, Grand Prix’s, hospitality/marketing events both onsite and trackside activities.
Accountabilities:
- Drive a positive Safety, Health and Environment culture at offsite events, with a focus on race calendar related and associated business units and functions.
- Support with H&S related risk assessments where required and drive implementation of necessary control measures. in conjunction with relevant departments.
- Develop, implement and monitor compliance against H&S related processes, procedures and ways of working.
- Regular inspections and audits of events ensuring ongoing monitoring and continual improvement.
- Compiling and supporting the completion of accreditations to support the requirements set out by the GP venues.
- Arrange, participate, and lead relevant engagements and meetings as required to discuss, monitor and ensure effective communication across relevant health & safety matters.
- Ensure legal compliance with local requirements at race/event locations, as well as compliance with Formula 1 Group standards and policies.
- Work with departments to appoint safety champions to embed a safety culture.
- Co-ordinating and scheduling of Safety, Health and Environment specific training.
- Manage Safety, Health & Environment (SHE) incident reporting and investigations, ensuring timely and effective resolution.
- Provide support with specific projects, procedure roll out and auditing.
- Support the wider campus’ Safety, Health and Environment strategy.
- Provide support, guidance, and advice to employees on Safety, Health & Environment related topics.
- Working with SHE representatives and help to ensure that all relevant requirements are met.
- Ensure that company-wide policies and procedures are adhered to.
Ensure the effective use of all Safety, Health and Environment tools and portals.

Essential Competencies:
- Professional certification such as NEBOSH National General Certificate or equivalent.
- Experience in a similar role
- Knowledge of UK health, safety, and environmental legislation
- Exposure to working within a fast-paced environment.
- Understanding the principles of risk management and have experience with management systems including ISO 14001 & ISO 45001and conducting internal audits.
Competent user of Microsoft programmes and Safety management software.
