Childcare Practitioner - Therapeutic Residential Care

Hours: 40 hours per week, which includes one contractual sleep-in shift per week.
At Amicus, we provide therapeutic residential care for vulnerable and traumatised children aged 4–11 (on referral). Our accredited therapeutic community, recognised by the Royal College of Psychiatrists, offers a safe, nurturing environment where relationships and reflective practice drive genuine change.
About Our Role
As a Therapeutic Childcare Practitioner, you’ll:
- Provide care, nurture, and emotional support to children in our residential homes
- Help them begin to recover from trauma in a warm, therapeutic environment
- Support children to build trust, self-esteem, and healthier relationships
- Engage in reflective practice and contribute to a community of care
- This role is based in one of our Children's Residential Homes in Littlehampton

No childcare qualifications? No problem. We’ll fully fund and support you to achieve the Level 3 Diploma in Residential Childcare.
