Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Senior Support Worker to join our team in providing exceptional care within a care home environment. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership qualities, excellent communication skills, and a genuine passion for supporting individuals with their daily needs. Responsibilities
- Lead and supervise support staff to ensure the delivery of high-quality care aligned with individual care plans
- Assist residents with personal care, mobility, and daily activities in a respectful and compassionate manner
- Develop, implement, and review personalised care plans in collaboration with residents and healthcare professionals
- Monitor residents’ wellbeing, recognising changes in health or behaviour and reporting accordingly
- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations, maintaining a safe environment for residents and staff
- Support the organisation of activities and social events to promote residents’ engagement and wellbeing
- Contribute to staff training programmes, sharing expertise in senior care and supervisory practices
- Maintain accurate records using IT systems for documentation, care planning, and communication purposes
- Drive organisational initiatives related to quality improvement and best practice standards
Experience
- Proven supervisory experience within a care home or senior care setting
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and guide support staff effectively
- Experience in developing and managing care plans tailored to individual needs
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to liaise confidently with residents, families, and multidisciplinary teams
- Knowledge of IT systems used for documentation and reporting in healthcare environments
- Driving licence is desirable to facilitate transportation needs related to the role or organisation’s requirements

Pay: £13.50-£14.20 per hour
