Summary
We are seeking to appoint a caring, committed and enthusiastic Teaching Assistant Level 2b to join our SEN Unit team. Our SEN Unit supports 16 pupils with Education, Health and Care Plans (EHCPs), with a wide range of ages, abilities and additional needs. The successful candidate will work closely with teachers and support staff to provide high-quality provision which enables pupils to feel safe, supported and successful in their learning.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support pupils with EHCPs across the SEN Unit
- Assist pupils with their academic, social and emotional development
- Help deliver personalised learning activities and interventions
- Support positive behaviour and communication strategies
- Work with individual pupils and small groups across a range of ages and abilities
- Contribute to creating a nurturing, inclusive and structured environment
- Work collaboratively with teachers, families and external professionals where appropriate

This position is part time, term time only, please note the salary quoted is full time equivalent. If successful, the salary received will be paid on a pro rata basis.

Essential Qualifications
- A relevant Level 2 qualification or equivalent is essential.
Essential Experience
- Has experience working with children, ideally within a specialist or nurture provision
- Understands the importance of inclusive practice and meeting individual needs
- Is patient, adaptable and able to build strong relationships with pupils
- Can remain calm and supportive in a busy environment
- Works effectively as part of a team
