Job Overview
We are seeking a professional HGV Class 1 Driver TRAMPER role to join our team, working with various customers such as Amazon , DHL , container jobs and others . The ideal candidate will be responsible for delivering goods efficiently and safely across various locations, ensuring timely and secure transportation. This role offers an excellent opportunity for experienced drivers with a focus on commercial driving, particularly those familiar with Skelly (container) operations and delivery services. The successful applicant will play a vital role in maintaining our high standards of service and safety compliance.
The role is suitable for temp agency worker , Agency Ltd drivers (inhouse agency) for the daily rates from advert and as well more than welcome as employee directly with company with a wage around 55k/anum with n/o , meal allowance, hollyday pay included and all increasing with lenght of employment with various bonusess .
Responsibilities
- Operate HGV Class 1 lorries,with various including Skelly trailers, in accordance with legal and company regulations
- Ensure the safe loading and unloading of goods, adhering to health and safety protocols
- Plan routes effectively to meet delivery schedules while complying with driving hours regulations
- Conduct pre-journey vehicle inspections and report any defects or issues promptly
- Maintain accurate documentation related to deliveries, including delivery notes and logs
- Assist with securing loads on trailers to prevent movement during transit
- Follow all road safety laws and company policies during transportation activities
- Communicate professionally with clients and dispatch teams regarding delivery times and any issues encountered
Qualifications
- Valid HGV Class 1 licence (C+E) with a clean driving record (max 6 points accepted)
- Proven experience in commercial driving, particularly with lorries and delivery routes
- Knowledge of current road transport legislation and safety standards
- Ability to operate Selly trailers and secure loads effectively where required
- Good organisational skills with the ability to plan routes efficiently
- Excellent communication skills and a professional attitude towards clients and colleagues
- Flexibility to work various shifts as required, including early mornings or late evenings if necessary
