The Compliance Officer supports the Health, Safety & Compliance Manager in ensuring the business operates in a compliant, structured, and audit-ready environment.
The role provides dedicated administrative and operational support across GDPR, ESG, ISO, supplier management, and facilities-related health and safety compliance, with a strong focus on data management, document control, and governance.
The post holder is responsible for ensuring that all compliance activities, records, and documentation are accurately maintained, properly stored, and consistently aligned with company policies and regulatory requirements.
Main Tasks, objectives & key responsibilities
GDPR & Data Protection
· Own GDPR administration and data governance processes
· Ensure correct storage and access to data
· Maintain registers and compliance records
· Support audits and compliance checks
· Identify and escalate risks
ESG (Environmental, Social & Governance)
· Support ESG data collection and reporting
· Maintain ESG documentation
· Assist with ESG audits
Audits & Compliance Monitoring
· Prepare audit documentation
· Support ISO audits
· Complete surveys and track actions
Data Management & Document Control
· Ensure correct filing of business data
· Maintain structured filing systems
· Conduct data checks
· Improve document control
Policies & Procedures
· Support updates to policies
· Ensure version control
· Assist in drafting new procedures
