Northway House Care Home is committed to providing high-quality, person-centred care in a warm, safe, and supportive environment. We are looking for a dedicated and experienced Senior Care Assistant to join our team and help deliver excellent care to our residents.
About the Role
As a Senior Care Assistant, you will play an important role in supporting residents with their daily needs while promoting dignity, independence, and wellbeing. You will also provide leadership to the care team during your shift, ensuring that high standards of care are consistently maintained.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver high-quality personal care and support to residents
- Administer medication in line with care home policies and procedures
- Support, guide, and supervise Care Assistants during shifts
- Maintain accurate care plans, records, and documentation
- Assist with risk assessments and care planning
- Ensure residents’ physical, emotional, and social needs are met
- Communicate effectively with residents, families, and healthcare professionals
Requirements
- NVQ Level 3 in Health & Social Care
- Previous experience in a care setting, ideally in a senior role
- Medication administration training
- Good leadership and communication skills
- Good knowledge of care planning systems
- Supervision skills with confidence in leading and supporting a team
- Compassionate, reliable, and committed to high standards of care
- Right to work in the UK
