Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Personal Assistant to support a young person in their daily activities. This role involves, assisting with organisational tasks, promoting independence and daily activities. The successful candidate will play a vital part in enhancing the young person's quality of life through tailored support and effective communication. Responsibilities
- Assisting with daily routines, including young person's volunteering role.
- Supporting the young person with travel arrangements and accompanying them as needed.
- Facilitating communication between the young person, family members, and healthcare providers.
- Managing organisational tasks such as scheduling activities and maintaining records.
- Ensuring adherence to health and safety guidelines at all times
- Encouraging independence through supportive guidance and positive reinforcement.
Skills
- Valid driving licence with the ability to drive safely and confidently
- Experience working with young people, disabilities and challenging behaviour.
- Knowledge of creating, following, and updating care plans
- Excellent communication skills in English, both verbal and written
- Proficiency in record keeping, scheduling, and communication purposes
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to prioritise tasks effectively
- Compassionate approach with excellent interpersonal skills
- Ability to adapt to changing needs and demonstrate patience and understanding
Pay: £12.71 per hour
