Duties
- Safely operate flatbed trucks and other commercial vehicles to pick up goods from multiple locations throughout the day
- Verify pickup orders, ensuring accuracy and completeness before departure
- Load and secure cargo properly to prevent shifting or damage during transit
- Navigate efficiently using GPS and route planning tools to meet delivery schedules
- Conduct pre-trip inspections to ensure vehicle safety and compliance with transportation regulations
- Communicate effectively with dispatchers and customers to confirm pickups and address any issues
- Maintain detailed logs of pickups, deliveries, mileage, and vehicle maintenance needs
Skills
- Proven experience as a delivery driver, preferably with multi pickup routes
- Strong driving skills with a focus on safety and adherence to traffic laws
- Familiarity with flatbed trucks and cargo securing techniques
- Excellent knowledge of local roads, routes, and GPS navigation tools
- Ability to handle physically demanding tasks such as loading/unloading cargo
- Good communication skills for coordinating with team members and clients
- Valid commercial driver’s license (CDL) or equivalent certification; clean driving record preferred

Pay: £12.71-£22.31 per hour
