We are now strengthening our commercial infrastructure to support the next stage of growth.This is a hybrid role based 3 days per week in our Glasgow office.
The Opportunity
We are looking for a highly organised and commercially capable Commercial Operations & Partnerships Manager.
The successful candidate will sit at the centre of Navitas’s commercial activity, ensuring that opportunities, proposals, contracts, partnerships and customer handovers are managed with accuracy, urgency and discipline.
You will support the CEO with major strategic partnerships, while providing the commercial structure needed to convert introductions and opportunities into signed customers.
You will also help connect Marketing, Account Management, Finance, Product and Customer Delivery, ensuring that responsibilities are clear and commercial actions do not stall.
This role would suit someone who is excellent at turning commercial discussions into well-managed actions, professional documentation and completed outcomes.
Purpose of the Role
To build and manage the commercial operating structure around Navitas’s marketing-generated opportunities, strategic partnerships and enterprise sales activity.
The role will ensure that:
- Opportunities are properly recorded, progressed and followed through
- Proposals and commercial documents are accurate and professional
- Contracts move efficiently from discussion to signature
- Strategic partnership activity is coordinated and measured
- Internal teams understand their responsibilities
- New customers are handed over effectively into delivery and account management
Key Responsibilities
Strategic Partnership Support
Support the CEO in managing and developing Navitas’s key commercial partnerships.
Responsibilities will include:
- Coordinating activity across strategic relationships
- Preparing meeting agendas, briefing documents and account updates
- Maintaining clear records of partner introductions and opportunities
- Tracking actions, deadlines and commercial next steps
- Coordinating demonstrations, pilots and customer meetings
- Preparing partner-facing proposals and supporting documentation
- Building account maps and identifying relevant contacts within partner organisations
- Monitoring the value, status and progress of partnership-generated opportunities
The CEO will retain ownership of the senior strategic relationships. The Commercial Operations & Partnerships Manager will provide the organisation and follow-through required to maximise their value.
Proposals and Commercial Documentation
Take ownership of the preparation and coordination of customer-facing commercial documentation.
This will include:
- Drafting and coordinating commercial proposals
- Producing pricing schedules and order documentation
- Maintaining accurate proposal templates and standard commercial content
- Coordinating responses to requests for information and supplier questionnaires
- Supporting tender and procurement submissions in association with Marketing
- Preparing customer presentations and commercial briefing documents
Contract Management
Manage the commercial process from verbal agreement through to signed contract and customer handover.
Responsibilities will include:
- Preparing contracts using approved company templates
- Tracking contract reviews, amendments and outstanding actions
- Coordinating legal, procurement and information-security questions
- Progressing contracts through signature and purchase-order stages
The role will not be expected to provide legal advice but will coordinate the contract process and ensure that issues are resolved promptly.
Pipeline and CRM Management
Own the operational quality of the commercial pipeline.
Responsibilities will include:
- Ensuring opportunities are accurately maintained within the CRM
- Checking that opportunities have clear values, stages, owners and next actions
- Maintaining pipeline reporting and commercial dashboards
- Coordinating forecast information across relevant teams
- Supporting regular pipeline and commercial review meetings
- Improving CRM processes, templates and reporting
Lead and Opportunity Coordination
Help ensure that every suitable opportunity is assigned and managed appropriately.
This will include:
- Routing smaller opportunities to the Account Management team
- Supporting the CEO and senior colleagues with strategic enterprise opportunities
- Ensuring that responsibilities are clear across Marketing, Account Management and Customer Delivery
- Monitoring progress from initial enquiry through to contract
- Supporting customer demonstrations and follow-up activity
What This Role Will Not Initially Own
The Commercial Operations & Partnerships Manager will not initially be responsible for:
- Creating the overall company growth strategy
- Managing the Marketing team
- Managing the Account Management team
- Owning Navitas’s senior strategic partnerships
- Building or managing a large sales team
- Leading high-volume outbound prospecting
- Carrying full responsibility for new-business revenue
- Acting as Head of Sales
Candidate Profile
We are looking for someone who combines strong organisation with genuine commercial judgement.
You will be comfortable operating around senior stakeholders, enterprise customers and strategic partners, but equally willing to take ownership of detailed documentation and administrative follow-through.
You should be someone who naturally asks:

- What could prevent this opportunity from progressing?
You will be diligent without being bureaucratic and confident without needing to dominate the room.
Essential Experience and Skills
- Experience in commercial operations, sales operations, bid management, partnership support, deal coordination or a similar role
- Strong experience preparing commercial proposals and customer-facing documents
- Excellent written communication and attention to detail
- Experience managing contracts, procurement processes or commercial documentation
- Strong CRM discipline and an understanding of sales pipeline management
- Confidence working with senior internal and external stakeholders
- Strong Google Workspace skills
- Ability to understand pricing, commercial terms and contractual commitments
- The judgement to know when to act independently and when to escalate
Desirable Experience
- Experience within SaaS, technology, compliance, food safety or operational software
- Experience supporting enterprise sales or strategic partnerships
- Experience working with channel partners, procurement groups or technology resellers
- Experience with HubSpot or a similar CRM platform
- Experience completing tenders, supplier questionnaires or security documentation

First Six-Month Priorities
During the first six months, the successful candidate will be expected to:
- Review and document the current commercial process
- Establish clear lead-routing and opportunity-ownership rules
- Improve CRM accuracy and pipeline reporting
- Create a structured proposal, pricing and contract library
- Establish regular partnership and pipeline review meetings
- Introduce a clear sales-to-delivery handover process
- Identify commercial bottlenecks and recommend improvements
