Position: Part-Time Sales Assistant for Toolshop, Timber Store & Warehouse
Schedule: Working 4-days, Monday, Wednesday, Thursday & Friday 09:00 – 16:00
Location: Tools, Machinery & Timber Store & occasional Warehousing
Yandles Toolshop is looking for a new member of staff to join its in-store sales team. The ideal candidate would be confident, polite and hardworking, with the flexibility to cover additional work days within the Toolshop and additional Yandles Departments on-site.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide exceptional customer service, assisting and advising customers on the shop floor.
- Efficiently pick and pack customer orders, helping cover basic Wearhouse tasks.
- Handle cash and card payments at the checkout.
- Ensure the well-being of customers by going above and beyond.
- Engage in physical tasks such as lifting, carrying, and assisting with stock control.
- Cut, carry, and price timber products.
- Answer phone calls and process customer orders.
- Price and organize product displays on shelves.
- Maintain cleanliness and tidiness in the store.
- Utilize company PCs and tablets for various tasks.
- Flexible to cover in additional Yandles retail areas.
Desired Qualities:
- Friendly and engaging personality.
- Strong reliability and punctuality.
- Helpful and polite demeanour.
- Physical fitness to handle potentially heavy items like timber and machines.
- Previous woodworking knowledge or retail/sales experience is a plus, but not mandatory.
- Confidence and a friendly demeanour.
- Ability to work independently or as part of a team.
- Basic IT skills.
- Flexibility for additional cover days, including weekends.
