Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Level 3 Early Years Practitioner to join our childcare team. The successful candidate will play a vital role in supporting the development and well-being of children within a nurturing and stimulating environment. Duties
- Plan, deliver, and evaluate age-appropriate activities that support children's developmental stages in line with curriculum guidelines.
- Foster a safe, welcoming, and inclusive environment that encourages children's independence and confidence.
- Observe and monitor children's progress, maintaining detailed records to inform future planning.
- Support children with their personal care needs, promoting hygiene and well-being.
- Collaborate with parents, carers, and colleagues to ensure consistent communication regarding children's progress and needs.
- Lead small group activities to enhance social skills, language development, and early literacy.
- Manage daily routines such as meal times, outdoor play, and rest periods efficiently.
- Supervise children during outings or trips, ensuring safety at all times.
- Contribute to the organisation of the nursery environment to promote learning through play.
- Support the management team in maintaining compliance with health and safety regulations.
Skills
- Proven experience working with children within a nursery or early years setting.
- Strong management and leadership skills to guide junior staff and support team development.
- Excellent communication skills in English, both verbal and written, to effectively liaise with children, parents, and colleagues.
- Sound knowledge of early childhood education principles and childcare regulations.
- Ability to demonstrate patience, empathy, and nurturing qualities essential for working with young children.
- Organised with the ability to plan activities effectively whilst adapting to children's individual needs.
- Driving licence is desirable for supporting outings or community engagement activities. This position is ideal for passionate childcare professionals eager to make a positive impact on young children's lives through dedicated care and education.
Pay: £27,000.00-£32,000.00 per year
