Leak Detection Technician
A market-leading property restoration specialist is currently seeking an experienced Leak Detection Technician to cover the SS postcode area. If you have previous experience locating leaks, using acoustic detection equipment, or working within the property restoration industry, we’d love to hear from you.
Location: Southend – on – Sea
Salary: £30,000 - £35,000 (Overtime paid above 40 hours)
Hours: 40 hours a week
Duration: Permanent

Duties and Responsibilities:
· Use specialised equipment to pinpoint leaks and tackle its source
· Carry out leak detection jobs and AdHoc projects covering the regions as required.
· Ensuring the equipment is serviced correctly in line with quality procedures
· Generating job reports and advising on prevention measures
· Site assessments on buildings, pipes and structural systems for extent of water ingress.
· Recommend and perform basic repairs, and assist trades on more complex repairs
· Moisture surveys and writing technical reports.
· Calibrating and using leak detection equipment such as thermal cameras, acoustic detectors or moisture meters.
· Performing trace & access of hidden pipe work
Skills and Experience Required:
· Previous experience in leak detection is essential
· Previous experience and knowledge of restoration industry is essential
· Relevant qualifications in plumbing is beneficial
· A Full Driving License is required (Must be manual)
