Overview
We are seeking a reliable and professional Courier Driver to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering parcels and documents efficiently across designated routes, ensuring timely and accurate deliveries. Duties
- Collect parcels and documents from the central depot or designated collection points
- Plan and follow efficient delivery routes to ensure timely arrivals
- Safely operate company vehicles, adhering to all traffic laws and safety regulations
- Deliver parcels to customers’ addresses, ensuring correct handling and placement
- Obtain signatures or proof of delivery as required
- Maintain accurate delivery records and update tracking systems promptly
- Report any vehicle issues or delivery discrepancies to management immediately
- Assist with loading and unloading parcels as needed, ensuring proper handling to prevent damage
- Uphold excellent customer service standards by being courteous, professional, and helpful during deliveries
Skills
- Valid driving licence with clean driving record
- Strong organisational skills to plan efficient routes and manage deliveries effectively
- Excellent time management skills to meet delivery deadlines
- Good communication skills for interacting professionally with customers and team members
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
- Physical fitness to lift parcels of varying weights safely (up to 15kg)
- Basic knowledge of vehicle maintenance and safety procedures is advantageous
- Experience in courier or delivery services is desirable but not essential; training will be provided for new drivers
