Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Veterinary Nurse to join our team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in providing high-quality care to animals while supporting veterinarians in various clinical tasks. Duties
Assist veterinarians during examinations and surgical procedures.
Monitor patients' anaesthesia and vital signs during surgery and recovery.
Administer medications, vaccinations, and treatments as prescribed by the veterinarian.
Prepare laboratory samples for analysis and assist in laboratory procedures.
Maintain accurate patient records and ensure all documentation is up to date.
Provide nursing care for hospitalised animals, including feeding, grooming, and administering fluids.
Educate pet owners on post-operative care, nutrition, and general animal health.
Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the veterinary practice, including equipment sterilisation.
Qualifications
Previous experience in a veterinary setting.
Strong knowledge of veterinary procedures and laboratory techniques.
Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively with clients and team members.
A compassionate attitude towards animals and their owners.
Ability to work well under pressure and manage multiple tasks efficiently.
