Overview
We are seeking a friendly and efficient Barista to join our vibrant team. The ideal candidate will be passionate about delivering excellent customer service and creating high-quality beverages in a fast-paced environment. Responsibilities
- Prepare and serve a variety of hot and cold beverages, including coffee, tea, and specialised drinks, ensuring consistency and quality.
- Operate coffee machines, grinders, blenders, and other equipment safely and efficiently.
- Maintain high standards of food safety and hygiene in all food preparation areas.
- Take customer orders accurately and process transactions using the point-of-sale system.
- Serve food items such as cakes or snacks as required, ensuring presentation meets company standards.
- Manage stock levels, restock supplies, and assist with inventory control.
- Keep the work environment clean, organised, and welcoming for customers.
- Provide excellent customer service by engaging with customers courteously and efficiently.
- Handle cash register operations with accuracy, including giving correct change.
- Adhere to health and safety regulations at all times.
Qualifications
- Previous barista experience is preferred; training will be provided for the right candidate.
- Knowledge of food safety standards and procedures is desirable.
- Experience in serving customers in a fast-paced environment is advantageous.
- Basic food preparation skills are beneficial.
- Good time management skills to handle busy periods effectively.
- Ability to perform basic maths accurately for transactions and stock counts.
- Strong communication skills with a friendly attitude towards customers and team members.
