Are you a talented chef who takes genuine pride in producing consistently excellent food?
City Place is one of Wanstead's busiest independent cafés, restaurants and bars, serving fresh breakfasts, brunch, lunch, evening dining and Sunday roasts. We are looking for an experienced Senior Chef / Chef de Partie to join our friendly, professional kitchen team.
This is an exciting opportunity for a chef who wants to cook quality food, work with fresh ingredients and be part of a business that values high standards, teamwork and consistency.
What you'll be doing
- Preparing and cooking fresh food to a consistently high standard.
- Running your section confidently during busy services.
- Working across breakfast, lunch and evening menus.
- Maintaining excellent food presentation and portion control.
- Supporting the Head Chef and helping develop junior team members.
- Maintaining exceptional food hygiene and cleanliness.
- Contributing ideas to improve dishes and kitchen operations.
What we're looking for
- A minimum of 3 years' experience in a fresh-food kitchen.
- A confident, organised and reliable chef.
- Experience with breakfast, brunch and grill cooking.
- Calm under pressure during busy services.
- Passion for producing consistently great food.
- A positive attitude and strong work ethic.
- Flexibility to work evenings and weekends.
