Job Description
The Greenhouse Project is seeking a committed and experienced Early Educator Deputy Manager to support the delivery of high-quality early years education within our award-winning Early Education Centre.
This role involves working closely with the Early Education Manager to lead a team and provide a nurturing, inclusive, and language-rich environment for children aged 2–5, particularly those facing disadvantage or developmental gaps.
This is a hybrid role, combining room-based practice with allocated management and administrative responsibilities.
Key Responsibilities
- Support the day-to-day management of the Early Education provision
- Assist with recruitment, induction, supervision, and development of staff and volunteers
- Deputise for the Manager when required
- Ensure compliance with EYFS, Ofsted, safeguarding, and health & safety requirements
- Monitor children’s development and ensure high-quality learning experiences
- Maintain accurate records, including attendance, safeguarding, and child progress
- Work in partnership with parents and external professionals
- Contribute to planning, evaluation, and continuous improvement of the provision
RequirementsEssential
- Minimum Level 3 qualification in Early Years (Level 4 or Degree preferred)
- At least 2 years’ post-qualification experience in an Early Years setting
- Experience in a senior or supervisory role
- Strong knowledge of EYFS and Ofsted standards
- Excellent communication and organisational skills
- Ability to lead, motivate, and support a team
Desirable
- First Aid qualification
- Food Hygiene Certificate
- SENCO experience or training
Working Hours & Benefits
- 35 hours per week
- Monday to Friday (8:30 AM – 4:30 PM)
- Term-time only (40 weeks per year)
- 5.6 weeks annual leave (pro rata)
