The Role
We are seeking a reliable and personable Night Porter / Duty Manager to join us on a short-term contract basis. You will be the primary point of contact for guests overnight, ensuring the smooth running of the hotel, maintaining security, and providing excellent customer service outside of standard daytime hours.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage guest check-ins and check-outs during night hours
- Respond promptly and professionally to guest requests and queries
- Conduct regular security checks of the premises
- Oversee the reception area and handle any night-time emergencies
- Prepare the hotel for the morning shift, including light administrative duties
- Ensure compliance with health and safety procedures
- Act as duty manager, holding overall responsibility for the property during your shift
What We're Looking For
- Previous experience in a similar hospitality role
- Excellent communication skills and a professional, guest-focused manner
- Ability to work independently and use sound judgement, particularly in emergencies
- Flexibility to work night shifts, including weekends
- A proactive, "can-do" attitude
