System Administrator
We have an opportunity for a Dayforce Administrator, to take on the configuration, maintenance, and optimisation of the Dayforce system. This role ensures the platform supports The People Team, payroll, workforce management, and reporting processes efficiently, while maintaining data integrity, compliance, and a positive user experience.
As a System Administrator, you will support the Dayforce system across the VetPartners group, ensuring its smooth operation and providing assistance to users on optimising system usage. Reporting to the System Admin Team Manager, you will play a critical role in maintaining data integrity, resolving issues, and providing accurate data for key stakeholders across the UK and European network.
System Administration & Configuration

Maintain Dayforce modules (HR, Time & Attendance, Scheduling,)

Manage organisational structure, pay policies, workflows, and system rules

Maintain system security roles, permissions, and access controls

Support system upgrades, releases, and testing
User Support & Training

Act as the primary point of contact for Dayforce queries and issues

Troubleshoot system errors and escalate where necessary
-
Deliver training to managers and employees (desktop and mobile app)

Create user guides, FAQs, and knowledge base content
Data Management & Integrity
-
Ensure accuracy of employee data, pay codes, and organisational data

Perform regular audits and data validation checks
-
Support data imports/exports and integrations with other systems
Reporting & Analytics

Build andmaintainreports and dashboards

Provide insights to HR, payroll, and leadership teams
-
Support statutory and internal reporting requirements
Process Improvement

Identifyopportunities to streamline workflows and automate processes

Partner with HR and operational teams to improve system usage

Lead or support system enhancement projects
Skills & Experience
Essential

Experience administering Dayforce or similar HRIS (e.g., Workday, SAP SuccessFactors)

Strong understanding of HR, payroll, and workforce management processes

Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills

Strong attention to detail and data accuracy

Experience with reporting tools and data analysis

The role is offered on a hybrid basis - with a minimum of 60% / 3 days in-office, in York.
