We have an opportunity for a Support Worker to join our fantastic team in Somerset.
Vision Living supports young people aged 16 – 25 years of age. Living in private supported living accommodation, in Taunton and Yeovil.
Vision Living empowers the young people to build on their personal skills and aid them into a smooth transition into independent living. We provide our young people with a safe and nurturing environment. Our objective is to deliver positive outcomes through developing solution focused support packages adapted. We support individuals who have a range of vulnerabilities, and young people who have complex needs from Homelessness, substance misuse problems, mental health difficulties and may have been involved in crime and offending behaviour.

Working as a Support Worker, you must be willing to go above and beyond for the children and young people, you will be working in an environment where the little things that you do every day could have life-changing results on the young people in our care. And be able to work confidently as part of a larger multi-agency team around the Young People.
Requirements:
The ability to communicate clearly and sensitively when talking to the young people and their families and Professionals involved.
Good listening skills.
Great problem-solving skills and the ability to adapt and act accordingly to situations.
Good time management
The ability to work autonomously and as part of a team.
A high level of patience and emotional resilience. Being empathetic towards everyone
Great verbal and written communication skills.
A non-judgemental attitude regardless of a person’s needs.
The ability to remain calm under pressure and when dealing with challenging situations.
Able to follow instruction & direction.
Qualifications and Experience
NVQ Level 3 Health & Social Care (preferred) Experience: 2 years desirable but not essential as full training will be offered to the right candidates.

Salary: £ 13p/h depending on experience plus additional sleepin rate.
Shift:
- able to work shifts and sleep-ins.
- 10 24-hour shifts for full time,
- 5 24-hour shifts for part time including a sleep in.
