Warehouse / Store Assistant – Stock Control

Working Hours: Monday to Friday, 9:00am – 5:00pm

About the Role
We are looking for a reliable, organised and motivated Warehouse / Store Assistant to join our team.
The successful candidate will have at least 2 years’ experience in a warehouse or store environment, with strong experience in stock control and inventory management.
You will play an important role in maintaining accurate stock levels, checking incoming deliveries, replenishing stock, preparing orders and ensuring the warehouse and store operate efficiently on a daily basis.
Key Responsibilities
- Accurately count, check and record incoming pallets and stock deliveries.
- Carry out regular stock checks and maintain accurate inventory records.
- Monitor stock levels and replenish shelves and storage areas to maximum levels.
- Pick, pack and prepare orders accurately for dispatch.
- Ensure stock is stored correctly and the warehouse/store remains organised.
- Investigate and report stock discrepancies when required.
- Maintain a clean, tidy and safe working environment.
- Work closely with colleagues to meet daily operational targets and deadlines.
- Assist other departments when required to support smooth day-to-day operations.
- Follow company procedures relating to stock control, health and safety and warehouse operations.
Requirements
Essential:
- Minimum 2 years’ experience working in a warehouse, store or stock control environment.
- Strong stock control and inventory management experience.
- Previous experience with picking, packing and receiving goods.
- Excellent attention to detail and a high level of accuracy.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Reliable, punctual and well organised.
- Positive, proactive and willing to take responsibility.
- Ability to work on your feet for extended periods.
- Ability to safely lift and move boxes weighing up to 15kg.
- Good communication skills.
- Ability to work efficiently and meet deadlines and daily targets.
Forklift:
- Forklift experience is preferable.
