About the Role
As a Learning Support Assistant, you will work closely with pupils on a 1:1 basis, supporting children with SEN, SEMH needs and challenging behaviour.
You will help pupils access learning, manage emotions, build confidence and develop positive relationships within the school environment.
This is a varied and rewarding role where no two days are the same. You may support children with Autism, ADHD, speech and language needs, social and emotional needs, or pupils who need extra behavioural support to engage positively in school.
Your Role Will Include:
- Providing dedicated 1:1 support for pupils with SEN and SEMH needs
- Supporting children with behaviour, emotional regulation and engagement
- Helping pupils access learning in the classroom
- Building positive, consistent and trusting relationships
- Supporting pupils with social skills, confidence and independence
- Assisting the class teacher with classroom support and behaviour strategies
- Encouraging positive routines and emotional development
- Helping create a calm, safe and inclusive learning environment

- SEN experience is beneficial but not essential
