The Strategic Housing Team are looking to appoint an innovative and self-motivated individual to join our dynamic team. As a Strategic Housing Officer, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the future of housing in Stockton-on-Tees.
This role provides an excellent opportunity for someone seeking their first job role or equally someone with more experience seeking a new or different career challenge. As a career grade post, the starting salary on appointment will be based upon experience and qualification.
The emphasis of the role is identifying and responding to the future housing needs of the Borough.
As a Strategic Housing Officer, you will:
- Help shape the future of housing by understanding and responding to local needs
- Work closely with partners to support the delivery of new, high-quality homes
- Use data and research to inform decisions, policy and service improvements
- Contribute to the development and review of key housing strategies
- Review planning applications to help secure the right housing provision
- Spot opportunities for investment and new approaches to improve housing across the Borough.
Ideally applicants should be able to demonstrate:
- The ability to research and analyse data
- Partnership and team working
- Good communication skills
- An inquisitive mind.
There is no requirement for you to have any previous experience of Housing as full training will be provided. Whats most important are the skills and attitude you can bring to the team, adopting the culture and behaviour of the organisation, the willingness to make a difference and the desire to improve the communities that we serve.
The successful applicant will be joining the team based in our modern office environment at Dunedin House.
