We're hiring!
We're currently looking for an experienced, passionate and enthusiastic bartender to join our small bar team across our two Pubs in Bristol. You'll mostly be working at our Pub in Redcliffe, Kings Head - however, the role will also require the flexibility to work across our other Pub in Redland, The Good Measure.
We expect the role to be around 25-30 hours a week, which roughly equates to 3-4 shifts per week (we are also open to hiring multiple people for approx 18 - 25 hours, so please do still apply if you're looking for part time hours). These could be a mixture of day and night shifts mainly across the weekend, but may occasionally include shifts across weeknights too. We operate a varied rota, so shifts will vary each week to offer flexibility across the team.
What we'd need from you -
- You'll mostly be working independently, so we're looking for someone who has at least 2 years experience in a similar role and pub environment, and is highly reliable, as you'll be responsible for opening and closing the venue on most occasions and following checklists.
- You'll have beer knowledge, especially around cask/real ales and a willingness to expand upon this. We serve a constantly rotating selection of cask and keg beers, so we would expect you to be able to communicate our offering to customers clearly and confidently during every shift.
- At least 1 year of experience with cellar management; changing barrels, cleaning lines across keg and cask beers, tapping cask, taking deliveries and maintaining a clean and organised working environment. You'll often be working solo, so experience of working in cellars is essential for the role and the abiliy to undertake the aforementionned tasks.
- As one venue is a neighbourhood pub and one a city centre pub, you must be able to work within different environments and paces - being highly personable, approachable and able to multi-task whilst engaging with customers.
- Reliable and flexible to be able to pick-up extra shifts during busy periods and to cover staff absences
