Job Summary
We are seeking enthusiastic and dedicated Takeaway Staff to join our team on Station Road, Erdington. This role involves providing excellent customer service, preparing food items, and ensuring smooth operation of the takeaway service. The ideal candidate will have a passion for food and catering, with a focus on delivering quality meals in a fast-paced environment. Previous restaurant or kitchen experience is advantageous but not essential, as training will be provided. This position offers an opportunity to develop culinary skills and gain valuable experience in the food service industry.
Responsibilities
- Prepare and assemble takeaway orders accurately and efficiently according to customer specifications
- Handle food preparation tasks, including cooking, portioning, and packaging meals
- Maintain high standards of food safety and hygiene at all times in accordance with health regulations
- Serve customers at the counter or via delivery platforms with professionalism and courtesy
- Keep the work area clean, organised, and well-stocked throughout shifts
- Assist with general kitchen duties such as cleaning utensils, equipment, and work surfaces
- Ensure timely delivery of orders during busy periods to meet customer expectations
- Support team members as needed to ensure smooth daily operations
Qualifications
- Previous experience in catering, cooking, or restaurant environments is desirable but not mandatory
- Knowledge of food safety standards and hygiene practices
- Basic cooking and meal preparation skills
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to work efficiently under pressure
