Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Machine Operator to join our manufacturing team. Must have working machine operating experience. Setting experience desirable. The successful candidate will be responsible for operating, maintaining, and troubleshooting various machinery used in fabrication and assembly processes. Duties
- Operate a range of machinery including milling machines, and other fabrication equipment.
- Programme and adjust programmable logic controllers (PLCs) to ensure optimal machine performance.
- Handle materials efficiently, ensuring proper loading, unloading, and storage within the warehouse setting.
- Conduct routine inspections of equipment to identify maintenance needs or potential faults.
- Maintain accurate records of production output and machine maintenance activities.
- Follow health and safety guidelines diligently during all operations.
- Proven experience in fabrication, machining, or manufacturing environments.
- Proficiency with CAD programmes such as SolidWorks and familiarity with programming PLCs.
- Machine operative knowledge including milling, welding, tooling, and materials handling.
- Checking products for quality
- Basic maths skills for measurements and calculations related to machining processes.
- Strong organisational skills with attention to detail in assembly and fabrication tasks.
- Knowledge of safety procedures related to machine operation operation and welding practices is advantageous.
