Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Senior Early Years Practitioner to join our childcare team. This role offers an exciting opportunity to lead and support early childhood development within a nurturing environment. The successful candidate will possess strong management and leadership skills, with a passion for working with children and fostering their growth. Prior nursery experience and a solid understanding of early childhood education are essential to excel in this position. Duties
- Lead and supervise a team of early years practitioners, ensuring the delivery of engaging and age-appropriate activities
- Plan, implement, and evaluate educational programmes tailored to the developmental needs of children
- Support children’s social, emotional, and physical development through nurturing interactions
- Maintain a safe, clean, and stimulating environment in accordance with regulatory standards
- Communicate effectively with parents and guardians regarding children's progress and wellbeing
- Organise daily routines, including meal times, play sessions, and rest periods
- Ensure compliance with all health and safety policies and procedures
- Assist with staff training and mentoring to promote professional development within the team
- Drive organisational initiatives that enhance the quality of childcare services
Skills
- Proven management and leadership experience within early years settings or nurseries
- Extensive experience working directly with children in childcare or nursery environments
- Strong understanding of early childhood education principles and practices
- Excellent communication skills in English, both verbal and written
- Ability to motivate and inspire team members while maintaining high standards of care
- Organisational skills to manage multiple responsibilities efficiently
- Childcare qualifications recognised within the UK (e.g., Level 3 Early Years Educator) are highly desirable
- Valid driving licence is advantageous for travelling between settings or community engagement activities
- Working hours are 9am till 1pm or pam till 3pm.

Pay: £13.50-£15.00 per hour
