Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Food to Go Assistant to join our team. This role involves providing excellent customer service and preparing high-quality food items in a fast-paced environment. The ideal candidate will have a passion for food, strong organisational skills, and previous experience in catering, cooking, or restaurant settings.
Responsibilities
- Prepare and assemble a variety of food items according to company standards, including sandwiches, salads, and hot meals
- Ensure all food safety and hygiene regulations are strictly followed during preparation and serving
- Serve customers efficiently while maintaining a friendly and professional manner
- Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the food preparation area at all times
- Restock ingredients and supplies as needed to ensure smooth operation during shifts
- Assist with meal preparation for catering orders or special events when required
- Operate kitchen equipment safely and effectively, adhering to health and safety guidelines
- Support team members in delivering excellent customer service and ensuring customer satisfaction
Experience
- Previous experience in catering, cooking, or restaurant environments is highly desirable
- Knowledge of food preparation techniques and meal assembly processes
- Familiarity with food safety standards and hygiene practices
- Experience working in a busy kitchen or food service setting is advantageous
- Ability to work efficiently under pressure while maintaining attention to detail
- Strong communication skills and a friendly attitude towards customers and colleagues
Pay: £12.71 per hour
