Plassey Leisure Park, a family-owned and run company is recruiting for a Clubhouse Supervisor

In 1960, the Brookshaw family bought the 247-acre site with new owners Tony and Della taking on 247 acres of farmland. Della and Tony’s son, John, came on board in 1992 and the Plassey has now been passed on to the second generation. With wife Sarah, John is continuing to run and develop the five-star platinum park.
Set in beautiful parkland and surrounded by trees, ponds, and streams, Plassey’s 9-hole, par 66, 4961 yards golf course is one both beginners and experienced golfers can enjoy. Designed by Keith Williams, coach to the world-famous Welsh golfer and Master’s winner Ian Woosnam OBE, it is affiliated to both the Denbighshire and Welsh Golfing Unions.

The Role
You will assist in the day to day running of the Clubhouse, providing our members, holiday park guests and visitors to the site an exceptional customer experience. We offer a wide range of food and beverages and aim to offer high quality food and impeccable services to all.
We are looking for a Pro-active, dynamic individual to help supervise the team and lead by example, you will have previous experience at supervisory level working in a similar food and beverage establishment. A knowledge of golf would be advantageous but is not essential.
You will take pride in the establishment ensuring that food safety, hygiene, presentation and service standards exceed customer expectations. You will have the ability to motivate and inspire the team and a passion for exceptional service delivery whilst maintaining a hands-on approach to tasks that need undertaking.
The clubhouse is open 7 days a week and offer breakfasts, alongside meals and often host events so you will need a flexible approach and the ability to work 5 days out of 7 with varying shifts to cover early starts, late finishes and weekends.
Responsibilities
- Staff Management
- Responsible for cash handling reconciliation and banking
- Ensuring excellent standards of customer service
- Managing stock levels, checking and placing orders, maintaining relationships with suppliers
- Clubhouse administration
- Ensuring compliance with all food hygiene and health and safety standards
- Cellar management
- Taking orders, serving, drinks and meals and delivering exceptional service
- Liaising with members and ensuring their requirements are met
- Ensuring the highest standard of cleanliness is achieved and maintained
Attributes
- Experience in a customer facing hospitality role and at least 1 year's supervisory experience within a similar establishment is required.
- Cash handling skills
- Excellent customer service skills
- Relevant qualification in Food Safety
- Conscientious and hard working
- Due to the location of the business, independent transport is essential
- Flexibility
- Good standard of education
- Excellent communication skills both verbal and written
