Job Overview
To provide high-quality, person-centred support to individuals with Autism, ADHD, learning disabilities, and challenging behaviours. You will work closely with clients on a 1:1 or 1:2 basis, supporting them to live as independently as possible in a safe and respectful environment.
Duties
- Support individuals with daily living tasks, including personal care, meals, medication, and community access.
- Use positive behaviour support (PBS) and de-escalation techniques to manage challenging behaviour safely and respectfully.
- Promote independence, choice, and dignity always.
- Maintain accurate records (daily logs, incident reports, care plans).
- Work as part of a team and communicate effectively with families, health professionals, and managers.
- Follow and contribute to risk assessments, behavioural support plans, and safeguarding procedures.
- Participate in training and supervision sessions to improve knowledge and practice.
Skills and Experience Required
- Experience working with individuals who display challenging behaviour (desirable).
- Understanding of conditions such as Autism, ADHD, and Learning Disabilities.
- Patience, empathy, resilience, and a calm approach under pressure.
- Ability to work flexibly, including weekends and evenings.
- Basic IT and report-writing skills.
- A valid enhanced DBS check (or willingness to undergo one).
- NVQ Level 2 or 3 in Health and Social Care (preferred, but not essential).

Pay: £12.70 per hour
