Duties
- Prepare, cook, and present a variety of menu items with precision and creativity, ensuring consistency and quality.
- Supervise kitchen staff during food preparation and cooking activities, providing guidance and support to maintain efficiency.
- Manage food production schedules to meet service times while maintaining high standards of taste and presentation.
- Oversee food safety protocols, including proper storage, handling, sanitation, and cleanliness in compliance with health regulations.
- Lead team management efforts by mentoring junior staff, fostering a collaborative atmosphere, and ensuring smooth kitchen operations.
- Assist in inventory control by monitoring stock levels, placing orders for ingredients, and minimizing waste.
- Serve as a key contributor to the overall guest experience by ensuring timely food delivery and addressing any special dietary needs or requests.
Qualifications
- Proven culinary experience with a strong background in food preparation, cooking techniques, and kitchen operations.
- Supervising experience in a fast-paced restaurant or hospitality setting is highly desirable.
- Demonstrated leadership skills with the ability to manage team members effectively.
- Knowledge of food safety standards and best practices in sanitation and hygiene.
- Excellent communication skills to coordinate with front-of-house staff and ensure seamless service.
- Experience in food production, restaurant service, or similar hospitality roles is preferred.
- Ability to work efficiently under pressure while maintaining attention to detail.
