Nestled in the heart of the Peak District, just a stone’s throw from the dramatic Roaches and a short drive from Leek, Ye Olde Rock Inn is a beloved, family-run country pub with a rich history and a passion for proper, homemade food. We’re looking for a dedicated, hardworking individual to join our team.
This is far more than pot-washing. You’ll be the backbone of a busy, high-quality kitchen that turns out everything from classic pub favourites to more refined, restaurant-inspired dishes – all made in-house with local produce wherever possible. Your role keeps the whole operation flowing smoothly so our chefs can focus on creating the memorable meals our guests return for again and again.
What you’ll be doing
- Keeping the kitchen running like clockwork – washing, polishing and organising crockery, cutlery, pans and equipment to the highest standards
- In charge of the organisation & cleanliness of both kitchen & storage areas
- Supporting food preparation and helping maintain a clean, efficient, hygienic workspace
- Working as part of a long term team in a professional but friendly environment
- Contributing to the overall excellence that makes Ye Olde Rock Inn a destination for walkers, locals and visitors alike
Hours & lifestyle
26+ hours per week, including weekends & evening work (our busiest and most rewarding time). Exact shifts will be agreed to suit both the business and the right person.
