Based at our shop at 249 High Street, this is a varied customer-facing role combining departure point assistance with tour sales. As the first point of contact for our guests, you’ll be responsible for providing a warm welcome, guiding customers to the correct coach, and ensuring a smooth start to their journey. You’ll also spend part of your time in the shop engaging with visitors, helping them choose the tours and experiences that best suit their interests, and making tour sales, with a 1% commission on tours sold.
This is a fantastic role for someone who enjoys engaging with people, is confident in a sales environment, and wants to be part of a fun and enthusiastic team. You’ll play an important role in creating a positive customer experience from the moment guests arrive, while also helping them discover more of Scotland through our tours.
What You’ll Do
Customer Welcome & Departure Support: Be the friendly, welcoming face that meets and assists passengers at our departure point, helping customers check in and ensuring they are directed to the correct coach for their tour.
Tour Sales: Work in our shop at 249 High Street, engaging with customers, answering questions about our tours, recommending experiences that suit their interests, and confidently converting enquiries into sales. You’ll receive 1% commission on tours sold.
Customer Experience: Create a positive and memorable experience for our customers from the moment they arrive, providing helpful information about their tour and Scotland and ensuring they feel well looked after.
Team Support: Work closely with the Transport and wider team to keep departure operations running smoothly and ensure coaches leave on time.
Hotel & B&B Visits: Connect with local hospitality businesses by delivering brochures and supporting our strong partnerships across Edinburgh.
Local Deliveries: Use our company vehicle to assist with local deliveries where required (full driver's licence required).

Flexible Part-Time Hours: Early morning shifts from 6:30 AM to 10:30 AM, and 09:00 Am to 20:00 PM with additional hours available in the shop depending on business needs. Applicants must be available to work weekends.
Competitive Pay & Commission: Starting at £12.82 per hour, rising to £13.13 after the probationary period, plus 1% commission on tours sold.
Varied Role: Enjoy a mix of customer service, tour sales, departure support and local business visits - no two days are exactly the same.
