Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Primary Teaching Assistant to join a welcoming primary school in the WF3 area of Wakefield from September 2026. This full-time role offers an ongoing opportunity, with a competitive daily rate of £95–£105, depending on experience. The successful candidate will support pupils across the school, working closely with class teachers to ensure children remain engaged, supported, and able to achieve their full potential.

Responsibilities
- Support pupils with learning activities on a 1:1 basis, in small groups, and within whole-class lessons.
- Assist the class teacher with lesson preparation, classroom organisation, and resource management.
- Promote positive behaviour, engagement, and independence throughout the school day.
- Support pupils' academic, social, and emotional development.
- Work collaboratively with teachers and support staff to provide high-quality learning opportunities.
Requirements
- Experience working with children in a primary school or similar educational setting.
- A patient, proactive, and supportive approach to learning.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively as part of a team.
- Confidence supporting pupils with a range of abilities and learning needs.
- A genuine passion for helping children achieve their full potential.
