Front of House Team Member | FORK CAFÉ BAR
We’re looking for someone brilliant with people to join the team at FORK CAFÉ BAR.
This is a part-time role working Monday to Friday, 11:30am to 2:30pm, helping us through our busy lunchtime service. No evenings. No weekends.
FORK is an independent café bar on Newcastle Quayside. We’re busy, informal and passionate about good coffee, great food and looking after people properly.
What you’ll be doing:
- Serving customers and making people feel welcome
- Taking orders and working the till
- Making coffees and other drinks
- Preparing and serving food
- Keeping the café clean, organised and looking sharp
- Helping the rest of the team during busy lunch services
Who we’re looking for:
Experience is great, but attitude matters more.
You don’t need to be an experienced barista. We’ll teach you properly, including full coffee and barista training.
What we do need is someone who is:
- Friendly, confident and comfortable talking to customers
- Reliable and punctual
- Quick to learn and happy to get stuck in
- Calm when things get busy
- Proud of doing a job properly
- A genuine team player
Hospitality can be taught. Being dependable, having a bit of personality and actually caring about customers is much harder to teach.
