The role

This could be the perfect time for you to join us in our Corporate Hub as a Public Insight Manager.
As a Public Insight Manager, you will play a key role in shaping how the organisation understands and responds to the needs, views and experiences of the public. You will lead the development and delivery of insight-led approaches, implementing solutions, services and procedures that ensure public feedback and data meaningfully inform business change and continuous improvement.
Working across the organisation and with key partners, you will drive a consistent and effective approach to capturing, analysing and using insight to influence decision-making, enhance service delivery, and support strategic priorities. This is an exciting opportunity to make a tangible impact by ensuring the voice of the public is at the heart of what we do.
What you’ll do
Lead and manage the day-to-day delivery of the Public Insight function, ensuring priorities are effectively coordinated across the wider Corporate Performance team.
Develop and implement a public consultation strategy to ensure insight activities inform organisational change and service improvement.
Coordinate and deliver engagement activities, including focus groups and digital consultations, using technology and social media to maximise reach.
Conduct research and produce high-quality reports, analysing qualitative and quantitative data to inform decision-making and enhance public confidence.
Provide expert advice and guidance to managers, using insight and research tools to support performance management and continuous improvement.

What you’ll bring
Educated to degree level or equivalent experience, with strong analytical skills to identify trends, themes and insights.
Proven ability to design and implement performance, planning or business improvement frameworks.
Strong problem-solving capability, with a focus on identifying opportunities to enhance performance and service delivery.
Experience leading and developing teams, with a commitment to coaching, empowering and building capability.
Excellent communication and influencing skills, with the ability to present complex information clearly and build effective stakeholder relationships.
Demonstrates accountability, professionalism and a commitment to continuous development, equality, diversity and inclusion.

Terms of appointment
This is a permanent role subject to a six-month probationary period.
