Pink Tile Education is recruiting for a dedicated Teaching Assistant to join a specialist SEND school in Burgess Hill . Supporting pupils aged 2–19 years , this welcoming school provides a personalised and nurturing education for children and young people with a wide range of additional needs.

The school offers a temp-to-perm opportunity from day one . After completing 12 working weeks through Pink Tile Education, you'll have the opportunity to become a permanent member of the school's team.
Teaching Assistant / Learning Support Assistant position.
Based in Burgess Hill .
Monday to Friday, 8:45am – 4:00pm .
£14.25 per hour (£111.99 per day) .
September start.

This specialist SEND school in Burgess Hill supports children and young people aged 2–19 years across both primary and secondary phases. The school provides tailored learning environments to meet each pupil's individual needs.
Some classrooms are sensory-focused, supporting pupils with more complex learning needs, physical disabilities and communication difficulties. You may work with pupils who are non-verbal, require support with personal care or mobility, or use alternative methods of communication.
Other classes support pupils who are more independent but may require additional help managing their emotions, communication or behaviour. Some pupils can present with challenging behaviour, while others simply need extra encouragement and structured support to access learning.
Every class is unique, making this an exciting opportunity for a Teaching Assistant or Learning Support Assistant looking to broaden their SEND experience.
Support children and young people with a wide range of SEND , including Autism, some severe learning difficulties, complex needs and communication differences.
Provide one-to-one and small group support throughout the school day.
Support pupils with mobility, personal care and sensory activities where required.
Help non-verbal pupils communicate using symbols, visual resources or communication systems.
Use positive behaviour support strategies with pupils who may display challenging behaviour.
Build trusting relationships that help pupils feel safe, valued and confident.
Work collaboratively with teachers, therapists and fellow Teaching Assistants to deliver outstanding support.
Has experience supporting children or adults with SEND .
Ideally has previous experience working with children in an education or care setting.
Is patient, caring and able to adapt to the needs of different pupils.
Is confident supporting children with complex needs, communication difficulties or challenging behaviour.
Has experience using Makaton , PECS, symbols or alternative communication methods (highly desirable but not essential).
Enjoys working as part of a supportive and collaborative team.
Is looking for a rewarding Teaching Assistant or Learning Support Assistant role in Burgess Hill .
Enhanced DBS on the Update Service, or willingness to apply for a new DBS.
