Flying Logistics Air Cargo Limited is an international freight solutions company with a headquarters located in Essex, dealing with sea freight. We also have 2 more branches, one in Heathrow dealing with air and road freight and a branch in Belgium handling freight between the UK and EU countries. Flying Logistics Air Cargo Ltd is looking for an Experienced Customs Clearance Clerk, suitable for a role in a fast-paced Freight Forwarders based in Basildon, Essex.
Key Responsibilities:
- Liaise with shipping lines, hauliers, warehouses and customers.
- Obtain charges and releases for imported/exported cargo from shipping lines.
- Review documents, input data to system, carry out due diligence checks, Custom Clearance, invoice to clients, arrange collections and deliveries. From start to finish.
- Work closely and effectively with ETSF Warehouse team members, ensure a smooth delivery
- Converting Import EDIs (updating address, client data) into internal systems.
- ·ransferring those details into Sequoia (customs system).
- Creating CDS declarations into Sequoia.
- Claiming containers releasing container to haulers badge, in Destin8 system.
- Arriving and discharging the Inbound T-forms with border force.
- Allocating the import consignments once loaded to a Master UCR
- Creating import records.
- Working closely with Imports, Warehouse, and Customs departments.
- Communicating with clients to give them updates on the containers via email, WeChat and phone.
Qualifications:
- Must have minimum 2 years industry working experience.
- Familiar with custom clearance system i.e. Sequoia, Destin8, CDS, ETSF Warehousing.
- Import & road freight experience preferable.

- 28,000 to 32,000 (depending on experience)
