Overview
We are seeking a skilled and enthusiastic Panini Maker to join our culinary team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for creating delicious paninis and a strong understanding of food preparation techniques. This role requires a blend of creativity and technical skills to assemble high-quality sandwiches that delight our customers.
Responsibilities
- Prepare and assemble paninis using fresh ingredients, ensuring quality and presentation standards are met.
- Operate various kitchen equipment, including grills and presses, to cook paninis to perfection.
- Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the work area, adhering to health and safety regulations.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure efficient service during peak hours.
- Assist in inventory management by monitoring stock levels of ingredients and supplies.
- Follow recipes accurately while also contributing ideas for new menu items or specials.
- Provide excellent customer service by engaging with patrons and responding to their requests or feedback.
Qualifications
- Previous experience in a kitchen or food preparation environment is preferred.
- Strong fabrication and assembly skills, particularly in food presentation.
- Proficiency with hand tools and power tools used in food preparation is advantageous.
- Familiarity with carpentry, joinery, roofing, plumbing, masonry, electrical experience, or construction painting can be beneficial but is not mandatory.
- Ability to perform heavy lifting as required in the kitchen setting.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to work well within a team environment.
