About the Role
Due to an internal promotion and sales growth from a successful investment strategy, we are currently seeking a Press/Finishing Operator for our busy Digital Labels Division to operate our state-of-the-art AB Graphic Digicon machinery for cutting, varnishing, foiling, laminating, and slitting printed labels to meet exact customer specifications.
Previous print experience is desirable, though experienced machine operators from other manufacturing backgrounds will also be considered.
Key Responsibilities
- Operate finishing machines to slit and embellish printed self-adhesive labels.
- Ensure finished products meet customer specifications (e.g., quantity, rewind instructions, number of labels per roll).
- Set up and run hot foil, embossing, debossing, screen, and varnish processes.
- Maintain cleanliness and complete machine maintenance logs as per company standards.
- Promptly report machine issues to the Team Leader.
- Maintain a tidy and safe working area in accordance with BRCGS food hygiene and ISO14001 environmental standards.
- Support general factory operations as needed.
- Adhere to all safety, hygiene, and quality control policies, reporting incidents to a Team Supervisor or Director.
