KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- As a key member of our driving team, you will be responsible for the safe and timely movement of freight between our Depot in Cannock and external Hub in Burton on Trent;
- Liaising with Hub Supervisors and Staff to ensure accurate turnaround times;
- Occasional assistance with forklifting duties at our Depot if required (training can be provided);
- Conducting thorough daily vehicle defect checks and reporting any issues promptly;
- Other duties as reasonably required by management
REQUIREMENTS:
- Punctuality on all occasions, to meet Trunking deadlines
- Professional & helpful attitude
- Good communication skills
- Professional and with a legal understanding of LGV Driver rules and regulations.
- Flexibility to accommodate changes in line with any necessary requirements
- Clean accident record
- Able to work Tuesday – Saturday shift pattern 20:00 - 07:00, Overtime may be required to meet the needs of the business.
- Representing EDS in a professional manner at all times.
- A valid Category C+E (Cass 1) driving licence.
- A valid Driver CPC card.
- A valid Digital Tachograph card.
