Overview
We are seeking a dynamic and skilled 360 excavator operator to join our construction team. In this vital role, you will operate heavy machinery to assist with excavation, site preparation, and material handling tasks. Your expertise will contribute directly to the successful completion of diverse construction projects, ensuring safety, efficiency, and precision at every stage. Responsibilities
- Operate a 360-degree excavator safely and efficiently across various construction sites, handling tasks such as digging, lifting, trenching, and material movement
- Conduct routine inspections of the excavator to ensure optimal performance and identify maintenance needs
- Follow all safety protocols and site-specific procedures to maintain a secure working environment for yourself and team members
- Collaborate with site supervisors and team members to coordinate excavation activities and meet project timelines
- Assist with site setup, including positioning machinery and preparing work areas for subsequent phases of construction
- Maintain accurate records of machine usage, inspections, and any incidents or issues encountered during operations
- Support other heavy equipment operations as needed to ensure smooth workflow on-site
Requirements
- Proven experience operating a 360-degree excavator in a construction or industrial setting
- Strong mechanical knowledge of excavator components, controls, and maintenance procedures
- Valid commercial driver’s license (CDL) or equivalent license for transporting equipment if required on-site
- Ability to interpret technical manuals, site plans, and safety instructions clearly and accurately
- Excellent communication skills to coordinate effectively with team members and supervisors
- Physical stamina and dexterity to operate machinery for extended periods in various weather conditions
- Prior experience with other heavy machinery or related equipment is a plus
- CSCS, CPCS, NPORS
