Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Toddler Room Leader to oversee the daily care and development of children aged 1 to 3 years in our childcare setting located on the outskirts of Market Drayton. The ideal candidate will possess strong management and leadership skills, with a genuine passion for working with young children. Duties
- Lead and supervise the toddler group, ensuring all activities are age-appropriate and stimulating
- Plan and implement educational programmes that support early childhood development milestones
- Foster a warm, welcoming environment that encourages children’s curiosity and social skills
- Maintain accurate records of children's progress, attendance, and behavioural observations
- Communicate regularly with parents or guardians regarding their child's progress and daily activities
- Ensure health, safety, and hygiene standards are consistently upheld within the nursery
- Manage daily routines including meal times, naptimes, and play sessions
- Support team members through guidance and mentorship to promote a collaborative working environment
- Organise activities that develop motor skills, language abilities, and social interaction
Requirements
- Proven experience in childcare or nursery settings, preferably with toddlers
- Strong management and leadership capabilities to oversee staff and daily operations effectively
- Excellent communication skills in English, both verbal and written
- Knowledge of early childhood education principles and best practices
- Ability to work well with children, demonstrating patience, empathy, and enthusiasm
- Relevant qualifications in early childhood education or childcare management are desirable
- A caring attitude combined with organisational skills to manage a busy toddler room efficiently

Pay: From £28,500.00 per year
