Are you an experienced hygiene professional looking to take the next step in your career? Crust & Crumb Ltd. is seeking a proactive Hygiene Manager to lead our hygiene team and ensure the highest standards of cleanliness, food safety and compliance across our manufacturing site.
Key Responsibilities
· Lead and develop the hygiene team to deliver effective cleaning standards.
· Plan, manage and verify cleaning activities across production and site facilities.
· Ensure compliance with GMP, HACCP, COSHH and BRCGS Food Safety requirements.
· Conduct hygiene inspections, investigate failures and implement corrective actions.
· Support customer, internal and third-party audits.
· Manage hygiene chemicals, equipment, consumables and PPE.
· Work closely with Production, Technical and Engineering teams.
· Drive continuous improvement in hygiene performance, resource utilisation and food safety standards.
What We're Looking For
Essential
· Minimum 3 years' hygiene experience within food manufacturing or food processing.
· Previous team leadership or supervisory experience.
· Strong knowledge of food safety, GMP and hygiene practices.
· Understanding of cleaning chemicals and COSHH requirements.
· Excellent organisational, communication and problem-solving skills.
· Good IT and record-keeping abilities.
Desirable
· Level 3 Food Safety qualification.
· HACCP Level 2 or above.
· IOSH Managing Safely or similar health & safety qualification.
· Knowledge of BRCGS standards and audit support experience.
